[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 24일부터 오는 30일까지 소흘읍주민자치센터에서는 솔모루학당 늦깎이 한글학교 어르신들의 학습 성과를 격려하고 문해교육의 중요성을 알리기 위해 주민자치센터 1층 로비에 ‘꽃으로 피어난 나의 이야기’ 시화전을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

성인문해교육 시화전에서는 삶의 애환과 배움의 즐거움, 가족을 향한 마을을 담은 시와 짧은글 8점을 모아 한 권의 그림책으로 엮었으며, 총 10분의 그림책이 전시된다고 했다. 

최기진 소흘읍장은 “코로나19 상황 속에서도 배움의 끈을 놓지 않고 문해교육 프로그램을 통해 엮어 나간 어르신들의 소박하고 진솔한 글과 그림을 보니 눈물이 핑 돈다. 앞으로도 늦은 배움에 대한 희망과 꿈을 펼치며 학습에 매진할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠습니다.”라는 인사를 전했다.

솔모루학당은 2019년 경기도포천교육지원청으로부터 초·중등학력인정 문해교육 프로그램 지정운영기관으로 선정되었으며, 현재까지 초등과정 졸업생 11명, 중등과정 졸업생 17명을 배출했고, 현재 초등과정 10명, 중등과정 5명의 학습자들이 과정에 참여하고 있다고 밝혔다.
