[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 5일 동두천시 생연2동 주민자치위원회에서는 생연2동 4통 마을에 조성된 주민 쉼터 및 화단 정비 봉사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 정비는 2021년 생연2동 주민자치 특색사업 ‘생연2동과 함께, 이겨내요!’의 일환으로 2018년 생연2동 4통 마을에 경기도 안전골목길 공모사업으로 조성된 마을 주민 쉼터와 화단을 재정비하는 것으로 주민자치위원과 마을 주민의 참여로 쉼터 구조물을 정리하고 쉼터 바닥 및 화단에 방수작업을 실시했다고 했다.

황용택 위원장은 “코로나19 백신 접종률이 높아지고 있는 요즘 마을 주민들이 모여 쉴 수 있는 쉼터를 정비함으로써 일상으로의 회복에 조금이나마 힘이 되고자 한다”고 말했다. 

김일 생연2동장은 “노후된 쉼터를 재정비하여 다시 주민들에게 돌려주신 주민자치위원들의 노력에 감사드린다”고 말했다.
