[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 8일부터 19일까지 가평군은 문화창작공간 ‘얼쑤공장’을 활용하여 과정중심의 전시형 연극제 <G-스타>를 선보인다고 밝혔다. 

올 한 해 동안 가평 지역 모든 학교에서 진행된 연극수업 과정과 학교별 특색을 한 자리에서 관람할 수 있는 이색전시가 펼쳐질 예정이고, 평일 오후 1시부터 6시까지 운영하며, 전화예약 후 관람할 수 있다고 했다.

가평군은 전국에서 유일하게 지역의 모든 초중고교에 연극동아리를 지원하고 있으며 각 동아리들의 구심점 역할도 하고 있고, 지난 2014년 봄, 향후 10년을 바라보며 시작된 이 사업(학교연극동아리 지원사업)은 올해로 8년째를 맞고 있으며, 급변하는 주변상황에도 꿋꿋하게 씨를 뿌려 왔다고 했다. 

가평에서 연극을 공부하는 모든 학생들은 2014년부터 2016년까지는 <어설픈 연극제>를 통해, 2016년부터 2019년까지는 <The푸른 학생연극제>를 통해 선의의 경쟁을 하며 함께 성장해 왔다고 했다.

하지만 지난 2020년 엄습한 코로나 상황으로 연극제 개최가 어려운 상황 속에서 가평군은 코로나 상황에도 진행할 수 있는 전시형 연극제 <G-스타>를 선보인다고 전했다.

참여하는 학교들이 제출한 학생들의 다양한 모습을 학교별 연극동아리들의 특색을 살려 준비한 이번 전시회에서 관객들은 별처럼 빛나는 가평연극꿈나무들의 열정과 재능을 한 자리에서 감상할 수 있을 것이라고 했다.

<G-스타>의 마지막 날인 오는 19일 16시부터는 <G-스타 포럼>이 열릴 예정이다. 이 사업과 함께 성장하고, 대학졸업을 앞두고 있는 ‘메이드 인 가평’ 선배들의 축하공연과 학생과 교사가 함께 준비한 연극적 발제와 함께 각 학교의 연극담당교사들과 청년예술가들이 한 자리에 모여 이 사업이 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 토론을 벌일 예정이라고 했다.

가평군 관계자는 “단기적인 성과가 아닌, 장기적인 안목으로 진정성 있게 지속되는 예술 사업은 흔하지 않다. 어려운 여건 속에서도 포기하지 않은 200여명의 시간과 땀방울을 한자리에서 만나볼 수 있는 이번 전시에 많은 관심과 응원을 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.
