코로나19 사회적 거리두기 시행에 따라 온라인으로 진행되는 이번 교육은 우리 전통 술문화의 우수성을 알리고 가양주의 전통 제조기법을 전수하기 위해 마련됐으며, 교육과정은 전통주의 정의, 올바른 관리법 등 기초 이론과 함께 찹쌀동동주, 청감주, 황금주, 석창포주 등 다양한 가양주의 제조기법을 배울 수 있는 실습교육으로 구성됐다고 했다.

양주시 농업기술센터에서 전통주 교육을 수료하지 않은 양주시민이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있고, 총 25명을 선착순으로 모집하며, 교육비용은 무료이고 실습에 필요한 기본재료는 교육 전 드라이브스루를 통해 배부한다고 전했다.

교육은 오는 10월 30일부터 12월 4일까지 매주 토요일 총 6회차 과정으로 진행되고, 수강을 희망하는 시민은 양주시 농업기술센터 누리집 공지사항에서 교육 신청서를 내려받아 이메일로 접수하면 되며, 기타 자세한 내용은 양주시 농업기술센터 누리집, 카카오톡 ‘양주농업’ 공식채널에서 확인할 수 있다고 했다.
