[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 12일 GH는 모듈러 주택사업인 ‘용인영덕 경기행복주택’의 사업계획 승인을 완료했다고 밝혔다.

모듈러 공법은 건축폐기물 절감을 위해 주택 자재를 공장에서 미리 제작하고 현장에서 조립하는 방법으로 현재 6층 이하 저층에만 시행하고 있다. 이번 ‘용인영덕 경기행복주택’ 사업은 국내 최초로 최고 높이인 13층 규모에 ‘모듈러 공법’을 적용할 계획이라고 했다.

‘중고층 모듈러주택 실증사업’은 국토교통부가 국가 R&D 과제로 추진 중이며 사업자로 선정된 GH는 모듈러 공법 기술력을 확보해 행복주택 106세대를 건립할 예정이고, 현대엔지니어링 컨소시엄과 본격적인 사업 추진에 나서며, GH는 향후 고층 건물까지 모듈러 주택으로 구현할 계획이라고 전했다. 

이헌욱 GH 사장은 “경기행복주택에 모듈러공법을 적용함으로써 국가 기술발전에 기여하고 2022년 말 준공을 목표로 구조 심의 등 후속 업무가 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
