[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군이 가평의 명예를 드높이고 지역사회 발전에 헌신한 2021년 명예군민 4명을 선정했다고 밝혔다.

가평군은 선정심사위원회 심사 및 의회의 의결을 거쳐 2021년 명예군민 수상자로 한국산업개발연구원 부원장 이해종, LH가평읍내2단지 센터장 전민선, 가평군경우회장 박상진, 前환경부차관 문정호 등 4명을 선정했다고 밝혔다. 

한국산업개발연구원 부원장 이해종씨는 가평군 항일 독립운동사 발굴 및 육성을 위해 학술조사 및 연구, 학회발표 등 반부패정책학회 활동을 통한 가평군 청렴이미지 제고했다고 했다. 

LH가평읍내2단지 센터장 전민선씨는 가평군공동주택심의위원, 가평군장애인복지관 운영위원 및 가평읍 주민자치위원 등 가평군정발전에 왕성한 활동을 하고 있으며, 前환경부차관 문정호씨는 환경부 재직 당시 팔당상수원 수질보전, 특별대책지역 수질보전정책협의회 등을 통해 긴밀한 소통을 하여 가평군 의사반영 등 협조체계 구축에 많은 도움을 주었고, 가평군경우회장 박상진씨는 가평경찰서 재직당시 가평군민을 위해 치안질서 확립 등 민생치안을 위해 노력해왔으며, 현재 가평군경우회장으로서 활동하며 수년 전부터 봉사단체 회장으로 주도적인 역할을 한 공을 인정받아 명예군민으로 선정됐다고 했다.

‘명예군민’은 가평군 발전과 군민 복리 증진 등에 공적이 있거나 지역개발 및 사회봉사 활동에 헌신적으로 참여한 자 또는 그밖에 군정발전에 현저한 공로가 있다고 인정되는 자를 매년 공모를 통해 추천받고 있다고 전 했다.

한편, 이번에 선정된 4명의 명예군민에 대해서는 코로나19 사회적거리두기 지침을 준수하여 오는 10월 8일 ‘제54대 가평군민의 날 기념식’에서 명예군민증서 전달을 할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
