[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 10월 8일까지 포천 학생들의 미술작품 전시회가 포천 한탄강 세계지질공원센터에서 열린다고 밝혔다. 

전시작품은 포천시 교육단체인 ‘한사랑교육공동체’가 주관한 경기 꿈의학교 「드림스케치」에 참가한 관내 초·중·고 학생 30여 명이 직접 한탄강 동화의 삽화 장면을 제작한 것으로, 한지공예, 회화, 클레이, 가죽공예, 목공예, 캘리그라피 등 총 26점의 미술작품을 만나볼 수 있다고 했다. 

한탄강 동화는 「한탄강에서 소곤소곤」, 「화적연 신령님」, 「비둘기낭 선녀님」등으로 지역 학생과 선생님들이 한탄강 지질공원을 배경으로 창작 이야기를 집필했다고 했다.

전시회는 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 무료로 관람할 수 있으며, 매주 화요일은 휴무이다. 기타 자세한 사항은 한탄강 세계지질공원센터로 문의하면 된다고 전했다. 

한탄강사업소 관계자는 “지도 선생님들의 열정과 학생들의 적극적인 노력으로 탄생한 작품이다.”라며, “학생들의 상상력으로 만들어진 한탄강 속 이야기를 미술작품으로 만나며 한탄강 여행을 함께 즐기시길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 포천시는 지난해 7월 한탄강 동화 「한탄강에서 소곤소곤」을 「Geobook’s 1」로 발간하여 지역 학교와 도서관 등에 교육교재로 활용하고 있으며, 앞으로도 Geobook’s 시리즈 발간 등을 통해 한탄강 세계지질공원에 대해 알아가고 소중함을 느낄 수 있는 계기를 만들어갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.
