한탄강 역사문화 전문가 교육과정으로 진행하는 박물관대학은 한탄강의 형성과정과 지질학적 특징, 영평팔경과 한탄강 문화, 포천의 역사인물 등에 대한 8차례의 강연과 한탄강 지질공원 및 포천의 문화유산 일대에 대한 현장답사 등을 진행한다고 전했다.

교육에는 우리역사바로알기 송시내 교육국장, 포천시 최동원 학예연구사, 강선아 지질전문가 등 각 분야별 전문가가 강사로 참여해 높은 수준의 강의를 제공할 계획이라고 했다.

포천시 한탄강사업소 관계자는 “수준 높은 전문 강의를 통해 지역의 역사문화전문가를 양성하고 한탄강을 널리 알릴 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회가 될 것으로 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
