[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 18일 포천시 한탄강 세계지질공원센터는 박물관대학 ‘한탄강 디스커버리’ 현장 답사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 포천시 공립박물관인 한탄강 세계지질공원센터 주관으로 박물관대학 ‘한탄강 디스커버리’ 한탄강 역사문화 교육 전문가 과정 1기 일환으로 진행됐다고 했다.

박물관대학 1기 교육생 27명은 최동원 포천시 학예연구사의 안내와 설명으로 포천시 주요 역사문화재인 포천 반월성과 포천향교를 답사했다고 전했다.

백제에 의해 처음으로 축조된 포천 반월성은 삼국시대 한강과 한탄강 권역을 사수하는 주요 격전지이자 이후 신라, 조선시대까지 지속적으로 사용된 경기북부를 대표하는 산성으로 사적 제403호에 지정돼있고, 반월산이라고도 불리는 청성산 산자락에 위치한 포천향교는 경기도 문화재자료 제16호로, 전학후묘 구조로 앞쪽에는 동재와 서재, 명륜당이 있으며 뒤편으로 유학 성현들의 위패를 모시는 대성전이 있다고 했다.

프로그램 참가자는 “포천 곳곳에 의미 있고 중요한 문화재가 있었음에도 잘 알지 못했는데, 박물관대학을 통해서 포천시의 좋은 문화유산을 알게 되어 뜻깊었고 자긍심을 느낄 수 있었다.”라고 말했다.

포천시 관계자는 “박물관대학 프로그램을 통해서 포천시의 문화유산 및 자연유산을 더욱 상세히 알리며, 지역민들의 애향심을 고취시키는 계기로 삼겠다.”라고 전했다.

오는 12월 2일 이번 1기 프로그램은 한탄강 지질명소 답사 등을 마치고 수료식을 개최할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
