[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 2020년도 한국환경공단에서 실시한 공공환경시설 하수관로분야 기술진단을 완료한 16개 지자체에 대하여 실시한 ‘2020년도 기술진단 완료시설 운영관리평가‘에서 운영관리 적정성 분야 최우수시설로 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 

가평군은 북한강으로 유입되는 오염수를 최소화하기 위해 개별 법령에 따라 공공하수처리시설 및 간이공공사후처리시설, 하수관로, 하수저류시설 등을 운영관리 하고 있으며 매 5년마다 기술진단을 받고 있고, 이번 평가를 통해 가평군의 하수관로 개선 및 유지관리의 우수성을 인정받았다고 전했다.

또한, 가평군 하수도사업소는 현재 한국환경공단에 위탁 계약하여 추진하는 가평공공하수처리시설 증설 외 6개소 총9,920톤/일 사업추진, 북면 하수관로 정비 사업 외 6개소 194km 사업추진, 가평 도시침수예방사업 6.87km 사업추진, 가평읍 노후하수관로 정비 사업 외 2개소 18km 사업 등 총사업비 3,202억원 규모 사업에 공사 및 용역을 차질 없이 진행 중이라고 했다.

가평군 관계자는 “가평군 하천수질 개선 및 수도권 주민 맑은 물 공급에 해당사업을 차질 없이 추진하고 있으며, 앞으로도 공공하수도 기술진단에 따른 운영관리에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
