[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 8월 14일 의정부시 송산1동 주민센터는 대체공휴일 확대로 생긴 광복절 연휴 기간 코로나19 감염 확산을 방지하기 위해, 관내 빼벌계곡 방문객의 코로나19 방역지침 준수 여부를 민간·경찰과 합동점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

코로나19 4차 대유행으로 인해 인파가 많은 해수욕장 등 바닷가보다는 도심에 소재한 계곡이 휴가지로 선호됨에 따라 새로운 방역 사각지대가 될 수 있다는 우려가 제기되었고,  송산1동은 관내 유명 휴가지인 빼벌계곡을 대상으로 연휴 기간 계곡 방문객들의 마스크 착용·4인 집합금지 등 방역지침 준수 여부 특별 점검을 단행하여 감염병 확산을 차단하기 위해 주력했다고 했다.

송산1동은 소속 공무원 및 통장과 더불어 송산지구대, 고산·산곡 자율방범대의 협조를 받아 민·관·경 합동 점검반을 구성하여 지난 14일 오후 빼벌계곡 일원을 점검하였으며, 실외에서도 2m 이상 거리두기가 안되는 경우 마스크를 착용하도록 행정지도를 실시했다고 말했다.

김진수 동장은 “방역 특별점검에 적극적으로 협조해준 시민 여러분께 감사드린다.”라며 “마스크 착용 등 기본적인 방역 수칙을 지킴으로써 4차 대유행을 끝내고 일상으로 되돌아갈 수 있길 바란다.”라고 밝혔다.
