[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 6월 8일부터 7월 5일까지 12회에 걸쳐 의정부시는 관내 NGO환경단체와 환경오염물질 배출사업장을 대상으로 민‧관 합동점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 NGO환경단체 합동점검은 대기‧폐수배출시설 108개소를 대상으로 관내 NGO환경단체와 단속공무원으로 점검반을 편성하여 단속을 실시하였으며, 단속 결과 환경기술인 교육 미수료 사업장 1개소, 폐수배출시설 방류수 수질기준 초과 2개소 등 총 3개 사업장을 적발하여 위반 사업장에 행정처분(개선명령) 및 과태료 부과 처분했다고 했다.

의정부시 환경관리과장은 “앞으로도 NGO환경단체와 함께 지속적인 지도 점검을 실시하여 환경오염물질 배출시설의 불법행위를 근절하고 환경오염사고 예방을 통한 쾌적한 환경을 만들어 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.
