이날 방역에는 송내동 새마을남녀지도자 회원들이 참여하여, 아파트 밀집지역과 및 메타세콰이어길 등 곳곳을 살피며, 세심한 방역을 실시했다고 말했다.

송내동 새마을남녀지도자는 올해 여름철 평균기온이 평년보다 다소 높을 것으로 전망되고, 조만간 장마철에 접어들 것으로 예측되는 가운데, 앞으로도 물웅덩이 및 가로수길 등 유충이 서식할 만한 곳을 집중적으로 찾아, 서식을 차단할 계획이라고 했다.
