올해로 제14회를 맞은 의정부시 어린이환경사생대회는 ‘지구를 도와주세요’라는 주제로 5세 이상 어린이 및 초등학생들에게 날로 심각해지는 지구환경문제에 대해 고민해보고, 환경보전의식을 고취시키고자 매년 개최되고 있고, 지난 4월 19일부터 30일까지 비대면 방식으로 진행된 공모전에는 관내 어린이들이 참가하여 1천757점의 작품이 접수되었으며, 심사는 분야별 전문가들로 구성되어 엄정한 심사를 통해 의정부시장상, 의정부시의회의장상, 의정부교육지원청장상, 협의회장상 등 총 688점의 수상 작품이 선정됐다고 말했다.

김남용 의정부시지속가능발전협의회 상임대표는 “이번 어린이환경사생대회를 통해 아이들에게 환경오염으로 인한 지구환경 문제에 대해 다시 한번 생각해보는 좋은 기회가 됐다”며 “생활속에서 환경사랑 실천을 이어가길 바란다”라고 말했다.

한편 수상자 명단은 의정부시지속가능발전협의회 누리집 공지사항을 통해 확인할 수 있다고 했다.
