[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 6월 4일 의정부시 중장년 기술창업센터는 의정부시 중소기업지원센터 대강당에서 ‘2021년 실전창업교육 수료식 및 창업경진대회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 모집을 통해 선발된 중장년 예비 및 초기 창업자 20여 명이 참여하여 자신이 구상한 비즈니스 모델을 발표했고, 중장년 기술창업센터는 전문가 평가를 통해 우수창업자 3팀을 선발하여 창업지원금 200만 원을 수여했다고 말했다.

‘실전창업교육’은 의정부시 중장년 기술창업센터의 창업 특성화 프로그램으로 사회적 경험이 풍부한 중장년층에게 체계적인 교육과 전문가 코칭을 통해 창업 기반을 형성하는 데 큰 도움을 주고 있으며, 센터는 프로그램 종료 이후에도 창업유관기관 공모사업 참여 지원 등 지속적인 사후관리를 통해 창업자들이 성공창업으로 나아갈 수 있도록 지원하고 있다고 했다. 

의정부시 중소기업지원센터에 위치한 중장년 기술창업센터는 사무공간, 상담실, 컴퓨터실, 교육장 등 시설을 갖추고 창업기본교육, 전문가 상담, 사업화 지원 등 다양한 활동을 통하여 중장년 창업자들의 초기기업 성장을 지원하고 있으며, 하반기에도 특허청 및 한국여성발명협회와 연계한 ‘여성발명창의교실’을 비롯한 창업지원 프로그램을 운영할 예정이라고 했다.
