[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시 황지연못에서는 눈축제 개최에 앞서‘별빛 페스티벌’이 이미 진행 중이며 “이상한 동화나라 태백마을‘이라는 주제에 맞게 설치된 유등과 다양한 캐릭터 경관조명이 태백의 밤을 아름답게 장식하며 시민들과 관광객들의 눈길을 사로잡는다.

이름처럼 별빛을 닮은 빛과 도심에 한가운데 자리잡은 연못의 자연이 어우러진 ‘별빛 페스티벌’에서는 28일부터 31일까지 저녁 7시부터 8시까지 황지연못 특설무대에서 다양한 공연도 예정되어 있다.

이 외에도, 폐광지역 2단계 관광자원화 사업으로 추진한 통리탄탄파크는 길이 613m, 363m의 폐갱도를 ‘기억의 품은 길’과 ‘ 빛을 찾는 길’이란 주제로 광부들의 흔적이 남아있는 폐갱도를 걸으며 화려한 레이저쇼와 영상, 조명과 빛을 활용한 다양한 볼거리를 감상할 수 있다. 

제30회 태백산 눈축제는 까만 연탄 속 불꽃처럼 밤을 화려하게 수놓을 야간 행사 준비에 더욱 박차를 기하며, 성공적인 축제를 개최하기 위한 막바지 작업에 한창이다.
