[서종협 기자 = 평창군] 평창군(군수 심재국)은 장애인의 이동권 보장을 위해 설치된 장애인전용주차구역 민·관 합동점검을 오는 16일까지 실시하고 위반 차량에 대해 과태료를 부과한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 합동점검은 단속을 통해 장애인전용주차구역 위반에 대한 경각심을 높이기 위한 것으로, 공공기관 및 다중이용시설 등 민원제기 및 주차위반 빈발지역을 대상으로 관내 장애인편의증진 기술지원센터와 합동점검을 진행한다. 

주요 점검 내용은 장애인전용주차구역 내 불법주차, 주차구역 내 물건 적치 등 주차방해 행위, 장애인자동차 표지 부당 사용 행위이며, 위반 시 불법주차 10만 원, 주차방해 행위 50만 원, 표지 부당 사용 200만 원 등의 과태료가 부과된다. 

신미진 복지정책과장은 “장애인전용주차구역이 보행장애인의 주차 및 이동 편의를 위한 공간임을 인식하여 군민들의 관심과 협조를 당부하며 군에서도 장애인의 편의 증진을 위해 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
