[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 오는 8일부터 16일까지 가평군 장애인편의증진 기술지원센터와 함께 장애인전용주차구역 민관합동점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 민관합동점검은 위반행위에 대한 인식 제고를 목적으로 실시되며 가평휴게소를 비롯하여 공공시설 및 잣고을시장 주차장, 전철역 등 관내 주차위반 빈발지역을 대상으로 진행 예정이다.

주요 점검사항은 장애인전용주차구역 불법주차, 주차표지 부당사용, 주차방해 행위 등으로 위반행위 적발 시 장애인전용주차구역 불법주차의 경우 과태료 10만원, 이중주차등으로 인한 2면 이상의 주차방해 행위는 50만원, 주차표지 부당사용은 200만원의 과태료가 부과된다.

가평군 관계자는 “보행상 장애인이 불편함 없이 이용 할 수 있도록 위법행위에 대해 각별한 주의”를 당부하면서도 “지속적인 계도와 홍보, 단속으로 장애인전용주차구역이 보행상 장애인의 이동권 보장을 위한 공간으로 인식되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
