[김준호 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 정선문화원과 정선삼베길쌈전승보전회는 전통문화 전승을 위한 사업 일환으로 남면 유평1리 잔달미 마을 체험장에서 삼굿(삼찌기)행사를 진행한다고 전했다.

삼굿행사는 과거 우리 선조들의 삶의 수단이자 일상생활 이었던 삼베길쌈과정 중의 하나로 전통문화의 전승·보전 및 계승을 위한 삼굿(삼찌기) 재현행사는 오는 8월 25일부터 27일까지 3일간 진행된다.

삼굿 행사 첫째 날 25일에는 삼베기, 삼굿터 파기, 화집 나무․돌 쌓기가 진행되며, 26일은 점화제례, 삼(모리기)쌓기, 짐풀 덮기, 흙 덮기, 짐물 주기가 진행되며, 참석한 관광객들을 위해 삼 벗기기, 농악, 옥수수 따기 등 체험프로그램이 함께 운영된다.

오는 27일은 삼굿 파헤기, 삼대 벗기기, 삼 말리기 과정를 실시하며,  부대행사로 삼베길쌈 과정 사진, 삼베짜기 도구, 삼베로 만든 생활용품 등을 전시한다.

정선문화원과 정선삼베길쌈전승보전회는 매년 삼굿축제를 개최하는 등 전국에서 유일하게 전통삼굿의 명맥을 이어오고 있으며, 삼의 고장 정선의 「삼베길쌈과 삼굿」에 대하여 전통 무형문화로서의 계승발전과 그 가치를 널리 알리고자 정선군에서는 강원도 무형문화재 등록을 위해 지속적인 노력을 기울이고 있다.

예로부터 정선은 전국 최고품질의 삼베생산지였다. 과거 삼의 고장이었던 정선은 봄에 마을마다 역씨를 파종하고, 한 여름  삼을 재배하여 온 마을이 주민이 모두 참여하는 삼굿 과정을 거치고, 가을 거쳐 한 겨울 가족들이 둘러 앉아 삼을 삼았고, 봄이면 그 실로 베를 짜서 옷감을 만들어 농가 소득 증대에 기여하였다. 이 과정은 4계절을 관통하는 정선사람들의 삶의 수단이요, 우리들의 생활 문화적 일상이었다.

정선 삼베는 오래전부터 질이 좋기로 유명하다. 조선 말 군수로 재직한 오횡묵 군수가 기록한 총쇄록에 기록되었을 만큼 정선은 삼의 고장이다. 현재 삼베길쌈 과정 중 전통 삼굿은 전국에서 유일하게 정선 유평리에서만 실시하는 행사이다. 정선 곳곳에서 행해지던 삼굿은 온 마을 사람들이 화합을 다지고 고단한 삶을 극복하고자 했던 중요한 전통문화 축제이며 놀이 문화였다.
