[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도가 조사료 품귀현상과 가격 상승에 대응하여 도내 조사료 생산을 확대하고 소 사육농가의 안정적인 경영 여건을 조성하기 위해 조사료 분야 17개 세부사업에 국비 18억 원을 포함한 총 사업비 101억 원을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

옥수수, 호밀 사일리지 등 청예 조사료 생산 확대 및 공급을 위한 13개 사업에 82억 원을 지원하며, 조사료 사일리지 제조 및 종자 구입 지원 2개 사업 56억 원, 전문단지 사일리지 제조 및 종자 구입 지원 2개 사업 1억 원, 유휴지 활용을 포함한 조사료 생산용 기계·장비 등 생산 기반 확충 4개 사업(12개소) 10억 원과 안전한 국산 조사료 생산 및 공급 5개 사업 15억 원 지원으로 조사료 생산·공급 체계 활성화를 추진한다고 했다.

또한, 볏짚 등 부존자원 활용 조사료 생산에 19억 원을 지원 볏짚 사일리지 제조 자재(비닐) 지원 2억 원, 베일러 등 생산장비  11개소 9억 원, TMR 제조장비 및 자동 급이기 2개 사업 8억원을 지원한다고 했다.

이 사업을 통해 산지가 많아 청예 사료작물(옥수수, 호밀 등) 재배에 불리한 우리도 여건을 극복하여 소 사육농가 사료비 절감에 기여하고, 노동력 부족에 대응한 장비 지원을 통해 조사료 생산 효율을 높일 것으로 기대된다고 전했다. 

강원도 농정국에서는 “배합사료 및 수입 조사료 가격 상승에 대응한 청예 조사료 생산과 부존자원 조사료 활용 사업을 병행 추진하며 우리도 조사료 자급률 향상과 소 사육농가 사료비 절감을 위하여 지속적으로 지원할 것”이라고 말했다.
