이날 설명회에서 강원도는 2022년도에 역점 추진할 시책으로 환경・수질 18개 분야 140개 사업에 총 6,374억원을 투자하는 계획을 설명하고, 시군의 적극적인 협조와 각종 사업의 원활한 추진을 당부했다.

특히, 올해는 탄소중립 견고한 기반 마련을 위해 59억원 규모의 화천 친환경에너지타운을 본격 착공하고, 종이팩 등 재활용 가능자원 수집을 확대 및 국가습지・도립공원 신규 지정, 환경유해물질 관리를 위한 강원도 중장기 환경보건전략을 마련하는 한편, 폐기물 획기적 감축 및 친환경에너지 생산을 위한 공공열분해 시설 설치, 강원도 환경교육 활성화, 흙탕물 발생 저감 참여형 거버넌스 강화, 분산형 용수개발 설치, 절수형 대변기 설치 등 새로운 시책을 추진할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

강원도는 보호지역 2개소 6.37㎢ 확대, 하천수질 ‘매우좋음’등급 76%이상 유지, 미세먼지농도 10% 감축, 폐플라스틱 1,700톤 자원화를 목표로 자연공간 건강성 증대 및 가치창출, 탄소중립 견고한 기반마련 등 4개 전략을 적극 실천하기로 했다고 전했다.
