[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 최근 3년간 춘천에서 발생한 산불 원인의 대부분은 인위적 과실로 인해 발생한 것으로 나타났으며, 이에 춘천시정부는 2022년 봄철 산불방지 종합대책을 수립하는 한편 산불조심 홍보와 예방에 주력할 방침이라고 밝혔다.

시정부에 따르면 2019년부터 2021년까지 발생한 산불 17건 중 소각 등 과실로 인한 산불은 전체의 41%인 7건이며, 이처럼 인위적 과실로 인한 산불 발생이 대다수를 차지하고 있어 시정부는 산불조심 홍보와 예방에 초점을 맞추고 있다고 했다.

먼저 시정부는 2022년 봄철 산불방지 종합대책을 수립해 운영하고, 오는 5월 15일까지 산불방지대책본부를 가동하고 산불진화장비를 일제히 정비하며, 특히 이 기간 산불방지인력을 투입해 산불 발생시 신속한 대응체계를 갖춘다고 했다.

홍보와 예방이 중요한만큼 산불예방 홍보 프로그램을 집중적으로 시행하고 현수막과 깃발도 농민, 등산객 등 타깃별로 실천할 수 있는 문구를 활용해 게재한다고 했다.
