아름다운 양구 가꾸기 사업은 9억1천만 원의 사업비를 투입해 파로호 꽃섬의 유지·관리와 자연 테마 벽면 녹화, 나무 나눠주기 행사 등을 추진하는 사업이며, 녹색공간 조성 사업은 가로수 및 소공원에 대한 병해충 방제와 소공원 리모델링, 나만의 한 뼘 정원 만들기 등의 세부사업에 4억2천만 원을 투입하게 된다고 했다.
