[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 강원도는 공교육의 사각지대에 있는 학교 밖 청소년들의 꿈과 재능을 키워주기 위하여 금년부터 강원도 학교 밖 청소년 ‘꿈드림 수당’을 도입한다고 밝혔다.

학교 밖 청소년에게 진로탐색과 문화활동을 지원하고자 학교 밖 청소년에게 매월 5만원의‘꿈드림 수당’을 지급하기로 했다고 전했다.

지원대상은 도내 1년 이상 거주하고 학교 밖 청소년 대상 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 9세 ~ 18세 학령기 청소년이며, 신청방법은 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문하여 신청서와 함께 학교 밖 청소년임을 증명할 수 있는 서류를 제출하면 된다고 했다.

학교 밖 청소년 ‘꿈드림 수당’은 도서구매와 강의료 등 교육비와 진로개발을 위한 자격증 취득, 문화체험비, 교통비 등으로 사용 할 수 있고, 한편, 도내 학교 밖 청소년은 2020년말 기준 1,353명으로 추산되며, 이는 도내 전체 재학생 155,888명 중 0.9%를 차지하고 있다고 했다.
