[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 30일과 12월 1일, 6일 총 3회에 걸쳐 양주시는 관내 초등학교 교원 123명을 대상으로 ‘양주시 농촌체험마을 팸투어’를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 팸투어는 지역 내 다양한 농촌 자원을 활용해 고부가가치를 창출하고 농촌 체험관광 활성화를 통한 브랜드화와 인지도 향상을 도모하기 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

참석자들은 남면 맹골마을, 초록지기마을, 장흥면 천생연분마을, 전원일기마을 등 관내 농촌체험마을 찾아 각 마을별 특성을 살린 연잎밥 만들기, 장 담그기 등 다채로운 프로그램을 체험하며 농업·농촌이 지닌 다원적 역할과 가치를 되짚어봤으며, 체험 프로그램 전반에 대해 폭넓게 의견을 나누며 농업·농촌자원을 소재로 초등 교과과정 연계해 농촌체험 학습, 진로체험 활동 등을 할 수 있도록 농촌과 학교 간의 지속적인 교류협력 방안을 논의하는 시간을 가졌다고 전했다.

한태수 농업기술센터 소장은 “학교와 체험마을 간 연속성 있는 협력체계를 구축해 코로나19로 위촉된 농촌으로의 관광객 유입을 촉진하는 대면·비대면 체험활동을 개발·보급함으로써 도농교류 증진과 농가소득 증대에 기여할 계획”이라고 말했다.

한편 양주시농업기술센터는 농촌체험마을 4개소, 교육농장 ‘에듀팜’, 12개소, 체험농장 19개소 등을 육성해 연간 5천여명의 초·중·고 학생들에게 창의와 인성, 농촌·환경사랑 정신을 함양하는 농촌체험학습 프로그램 지원사업을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
