특히, 코로나19 대응 등 어려운 재정여건 속에서도 2019년부터 실시한 관내 주요 교량의 보수·보강공사를 차질 없이 진행했고, 여름철 기록적인 폭염 피해를 줄이기 위해 인구 밀집지역과 차량 통행이 많은 주요 도로를 중심으로 살수차를 운영했다고 전했다.

동두천시 관계자는 “시민들에게 쾌적하고 안전한 도로환경을 제공할 수 있도록 철저한 사전 정비계획 수립과 신속한 도로정비가 이뤄지도록 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
