아동업무 담당 공무원과 관내 아동복지시설 대표자 40여명을 대상으로 진행한 이번 교육은 초록우산어린이재단경기북부옹호센터 오은화 소장이 강사로 나서 아동과 나, UN아동권리협약, 우리나라 아동권리 실태, 기후환경과 아동권리, 디지털전환시대 아동의 권리, 아동참여권과 시민성, 의무이행자 역할과 과제 등 아동권리 인식 개선에 대한 강연을 펼쳤다고 했다.

작년 10월 양주시는 아동친화도시 조성에 관한 조례 제정을 시작으로 아동친화도시추진위원회와 아동참여위원회, 아동권리옹호관을 구성을 마치고 유니세프한국위원회, 아동권리 유관기관과 업무협약을 맺으며 아동친화도시로의 도약을 위한 제도적 기반과 거버넌스 체계를 구축했고, 또한 아동친화예산을 분석하여 별도의 아동친화예산서를 제작 공개하는 등 경기 북부 최초로 아동친화도시 인증 추진에 박차를 가하고 있다고 전했다.

성열원 복지문화국장은 “지속적이고 정기적인 아동권리교육으로 공직자와 시민 모두가 아동인권 감수성을 높이고 아동의 권리가 온전히 보장받을 수 있는 아동친화 도시를 만들 것”이라고 말했다.
