[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 올해 11월까지, 양주시는 초록우산어린이재단과 함께 ‘2022년 아동대상 아동권리교육’을 본격 추진한다고 했다.

이번 교육은 사전 신청한 관내 중학교 1곳, 초등학교 12곳 등 13개교 소속 총 2,600여 명의 아동들을 대상으로 전문 교육활동가가 직접 학교로 방문해 아동의 권리인식 증진을 위해 대면 수업 방식으로 진행된다고 전했다.

특히 전문 교육활동가는 아동들이 독립된 인격체로서 본인이 누릴 수 있는 기본 권리를 쉽고 재미있게 이해할 수 있도록 초록우산어린이재단의 미래아동 교육콘텐츠를 활용해 교육을 실시한다고 했다.

미래아동 교육콘텐츠는 자기결정권, 쉼과 놀이에 대해 이해하는 ‘아동권리 교육’, 인성의 3요소(존중·배려·어울림)에 대해 생각하는 ‘인성나눔 교육’, 기후 위기 현상과 원이, 심각성에 대해 이해하고 내가 실천할 수 있는 대응책 등을 논의하는 ‘기후환경교육’, 성숙한 디지털 시민성을 가질 수 있도록 디지털 자기정체성과 권리·의무에 대해 생각해보는 ‘디지털 시민성교육’ 등으로 구성됐다고 했다.
