[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 16일 의정부시 신곡2동 적십자봉사회는 정성 가득한 컵케이크와 오징어먹물 빵이 담긴 빵 꾸러미 20상자를 100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴잇기 창구에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

적십자봉사회는 매월 결연 세대를 방문해 구호품 및 생필품 등을 전달하며 추운 겨울날 따뜻한 나눔을 통해 안부를 확인할 뿐만 아니라 모범 봉사회로 활동을 지속하고 있다고 전했다.

이날 기탁된 빵 꾸러미는 적십자봉사회에서 매주 화요일마다 진행하는 제빵 시간을 통해 만들어졌으며, 재료 준비부터 빵 굽기까지 직접 만든 사랑의 수제 빵은 도움이 필요한 아동을 위해 전달했다고 했다.

주정옥 신곡2동 적십자봉사회 회장은 코로나19로 모두 힘든 시기인데 특히나 아이들은 학교 등교 및 야외활동에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있어 아동들에게 작게나마 도움이 되기를 바르는 마음에 기부하게 됐다며, 앞으로도 활발한 활동을 통해 지역사회 복지발전을 위해 기여하겠다고 밝혔다.

김상래 신곡2동장은 “깊은 애정과 관심을 가지고 지역 아동을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천해주신 봉사회 회장님과 회원들께 감사드리며 아동들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있게 소중한 마음을 담아 잘 전달되도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
