[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 15일 가평군시설관리공단은 잣고을시장상인회와 합동으로 잣고을시장 주변 시장상가 방역(문고리 등 소독) 및 환경정비 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

가평군시설관리공단은 지역공동체(가평잣고을시장상인회)와의 협력을 통하여 코로나19 감염 확산 대응 및 지역 환경개선을 위해 지난 6월부터 월 1회 정기적으로 봉사활동을 추진해왔으며, 이날 활동은 공단 이사장을 비롯하여 직원(약 40여명)과 잣고을시장상인회와 합동하여 자발적인 참여로 유동인구가 많은 5일장 개장일에 맞추어 관내 시장상가 주변 및 다중이용시설 등에 활동을 실시했다고 했다.

유영상 이사장은 “코로나19 장기화로 인해 어려움을 겪는 지역 상인들이 위기를 극복할 수 있는 작은 힘이 되길 바란다”며, “공단은 앞으로도 지역을 위한 많은 프로그램을 실천하고 공기업으로서 지역사회 발전을 위해 노력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
