[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 16일 오후 6시까지 가평군시설관리공단은 교통약자이동지원센터에서 장애인 및 대중교통 소외지역 거주 수험생의 수능 당일 특별교통수단 차량 신청을 접수한다고 밝혔다.

교통약자이동지원센터는 장애인 및 대중교통소외지역 거주 수험생들에게 수능 당일 차량을 무상으로 우선 배차할 방침이며, 휠체어를 이용하는 교통약자 수험생의 경우 버스 등 대중교통은 물론이고 택시나 일반 자가용 탑승도 어려운 점을 감안한 것이고, 신청은 가평군시설관리공단 교통약자이동지원센터로 하면 된다고 했다.

가평군시설관리공단 이사장은  “몸이 불편한 중증교통약자 수험생과 대중교통 소외지역 거주 수험생이 편안한 마음으로 응시할 수 있도록 수능 당일에 특별교통수단을 지원키로 했다”고 말했다.

한편 가평군시설관리공단은 교통약자의 이동권 향상을 위해 장애인의날 무료 차량지원, 초중고 장애인 체험활동 지원 등 등 다양한 노력을 기울일 방침이라고 전했다.
