[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일 경기도의회 보건복지위원회 이영주 의원이 「경기도형 어르신 영양관리 및 식사지원 지역사회투자서비스 사업 도입에 관한 토론회」를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

토론회는 ‘일본의 노인 지역 영양 사례’와 ‘서울시 재가 어르신 식사서비스 제공 사례’에 대한 발제와 토론자 네 명의 토론으로 진행됐다고 전했다.

이영주 의원은 “식사는 우리의 생명을 유지하고, 일상생활을 할 수 있도록 하는 가장 기본적인 행위인데 어르신들은 하루 세 끼 식사를 하는 것마저도 어려운 경우가 있다”면서 “지자체에서 어르신들께 무료급식, 도시락 배달 사업을 하고 있지만 아직 보완해야할 점이 많다”고 말했다.

이어 이 의원은 “단순히 끼니를 해결하는 것이 아닌, 영양이 잘 잡힌 식사, 나아가 영양과 맛을 모두 고려한 식사를 제공할 필요가 있다”며 “어르신들은 맛과 영양이 풍부한 식사를 하시고, 이것이 건강 증진의 시작이 될 수 있도록 해야 한다”고 밝혔다.

끝으로 이영주 의원은 “오늘 토론회를 통해 저도 많이 배울 수 있었고, 어르신들의 건강을 위해 필요한 것을 함께 고민해보겠다”고 소감을 말했다.

이 날 토론회는 김연정 고령자新식생활연구회 회장, 장성오 사회적기업 ㈜복지유니온 대표가 발제를 맡았고, 조태훈 경기도 복지국 노인복지과 과장, 이경은 서울여자대학교 식품영양학과 교수, 구재관 연성대학교 사회복지과 교수, 박동옥 부천나눔지역자활센터장이 토론자로 참석했다고 했다.

토론회는 코로나19 확산을 고려하여 참석자간의 거리두기를 준수하고 온라인 프로그램을 이용한 비대면 방식으로 진행됐다고 전했다.
