[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 27일과 28일 이틀간 대한적십자사 포천지구 가산봉사회는 지난 가산면행정복지센터에서 돌봄이 필요한 가정을 돕기 위한 김장김치 담그기 봉사활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

이번 김장김치는 장애인가구가 직접 재배한 배추를 구입해 정성스럽게 만들었으며, 각 마을의 홀로 생활하시는 어르신 등 60가구의 취약계층을 찾아가 안부를 확인하며 김장김치를 전달했다고 했다.

정영자 회장은 “정성껏 담근 김장이 힘든 한 해를 보내고 있는 이웃들에게 작게나마 보탬이 되길 희망한다.”라며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃과 어려움을 나누며 봉사하는 적십자가 되겠다.”라고 말했다.

이영구 가산면장은 “코로나19로 봉사활동이 어려운 상황이지만, 돌봄이 필요한 이웃을 돕기 위해 힘겹게 봉사활동에 매진하신 회원님들의 노고에 감사드린다.”라며 “앞으로도 주변에 어려운 이웃과 함께 살아가는 따뜻한 가산을 만들 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
