[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 30일 GH는 평택 고덕국제신도시 서정리역 일대 일반상업용지 35,611㎡에 대하여 민간사업자를 공모한다고 밝혔다.

평택 고덕국제신도시는 경기도, GH, LH, 평택도시공사가 공동 시행하는 2기 신도시 사업이며, 서정리역세권 내 복합개발은 신도시 유일한 역인 서정리역을 고덕국제신도시의 랜드마크로 조성하기 위한 것으로 사업자 공모를 통해 민간의 창의적인 계획·개발을 유도하고자 한다고 했다.

이번 공모는 제안 공모 방식으로 추진되며 지역 현안인 특급호텔 및 대규모 점포 유치, 주차난 해소 등 공공성 확보에 기여할 예정이라고 했다.

장기진 GH 경제진흥본부장은 “이번 민간사업자 공모를 통해 고덕국제신도시 내 랜드마크 시설 도입뿐만 아니라, 경기 남부를 대표하는 명소로 개발하여 지역사회에 기여하는 GH가 되겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, GH는 고덕국제신도시 주민의 보행 안전, 편의성 및 접근성 강화에 힘쓰고 있으며, 서정리역 및 주변 광장, 복합개발지를 유기적으로 연결하는 공중보행교와 환승주차장 조성공사를 2019년 12월에 착공했으며 2022년 초까지 준공할 계획이라고 전했다.
