[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 23일 동두천시 중앙동 새마을협의회는 건강한 지역사회 증진을 위해 골목 곳곳마다 방역 소독을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

지난 8월부터 실시한 방역활동은 매주 목요일마다 정기적으로 진행되고 있으며, 중앙동이 골목과 상권이 밀집되어 있는 지역인 만큼 방역이 소외될 수 있는 곳까지 실시하고 있다고 했다.   

차유철 새마을협의회장은 “코로나19 확산이 장기화되고 있는 만큼 중앙동 내 길이 좁고 밀집되어 있는 주택까지 방역을 할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

이춘우 중앙동장은 “추석 연휴가 끝나고 일상으로 복귀하는 시점에서 다들 바쁘신 와중에 중앙동 방역을 위해 힘써주신 새마을협의회 회원들에게 감사하다. 앞으로도 건강한 중앙동의 지역사회 도모를 위해 적극적으로 협조하겠다”고 밝혔다.
