포천시는 현재 추진 중인 대규모 국‧도비사업인 전철7호선 연장사업, 양수발전소 건설사업, 수원산 터널 개설공사 등이 원활하게 추진될 수 관심과 협조를 요청했고, 가축전염병 사전 예방을 위한 K-가축방역센터 구축사업, 신북IC 교통정체 해소를 위한 도로확‧포장 사업, 태봉근린공원 공영주차장 조성사업 등에 대한 국비지원을 건의했으며, 중‧장기적으로는 포천시에서 추진 중인 공공성과 수익성을 확보한 남북교류 종합스포츠타운을 조성과 관련하여 남북교류의 발판을 마련하기 위한 국가 차원의 평화협력 사업 등의 추진 방안 대해서도 집중 논의했다고 했다.
