한시 생계지원 사업은 코로나19로 인해 소득이 감소하고, 기준중위소득 75% 이하 4인기준 365만7천 원이면서 재산이 중소도시 기준 3억5천만 원 이하인 저소득 위기가구 중 타 부처 사업을 통해 생계지원을 받지 못한 위기가구가 대상이라고 했다. 

시는 신청기간 동안 행정게시대 및 주요 도로 곳곳 현수막 게첨 및 시 홈페이지·SNS·버스정보시스템 등 온라인 홍보, 관내 아파트 관리사무소, 직업소개소 등에도 안내문을 게시하는 등 대시민 홍보에 힘을 쏟았고, 소득감소를 증빙하기 어려운 일용직, 노점상 등 위기가구에도 소득감소 신고서를 제출받아 한시 생계지원 대상 선정심의를 통해 지원 결정하는 등 적극 행정을 펼쳤다고 했다. 

의정부시 복지정책과 관계자는 “사각지대에 놓인 취약계층 발굴에 중점을 두고 사업을 진행했으며, 이번 한시 생계지원금이 코로나19 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 저소득 위기가구에 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
