이번 행사에는 새마을부녀회 회원들이 아침 일찍부터 자금동 주민센터에 모여 방역수칙을 준수하면서 직접 열무를 절이고 버무리며 포장하는 작업을 진행했으며, 회원들의 정성으로 담근 열무김치와 삼계탕을 포장하여 곧바로 관내 위기가구 대상자 150가구에 전달했다고 말했다.

김명자 새마을부녀회 회장은 “코로나19로 인해 모두가 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황에서 이번 행사를 통해 돌봄이 필요한 어려운 이웃들이 삼계탕과 열무김치를 드시고 힘든 시기를 이겨냈으면 좋겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
