[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 5월 13일 환경부 원주지방환경청 이창흠 청장은 관내 녹색기업 대표자 간담회자리에서 중소사업장의 자율적인 환경관리체계 구축 지원을 위한 '녹색기업-중소사업장 환경 길잡이' 협약식을 갖는다고 밝혔다

'녹색기업-중소사업장 환경 길잡이' 제도는 사업장 환경관리에 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소사업장과 환경분야 경험과 기술이 풍부한 녹색기업 간 업무협약 체결을 통해 1:1 환경기술지원, 상호협력 및 자발적 환경관리체계 구축을 위한 제도이라고 했다. 

이번 협약에는 ㈜한독 등 녹색기업 9개소가 환경 길잡이가 되어 태남메디코스(주) 등 중소사업장 9개소를 대상으로 향후 2년간 환경분야 전반에 대한 기술지원 등의 도움을 준다고 말했다.

녹색기업은 탄소 배출량 감소 방안 제시와 배출‧방지시설 기술진단 및 관리 방법 전수, 환경관리 우수기업 현장견학을 통해 사업장별 맞춤형 기원을 실시하고, 중소사업장은 녹색기업의 환경기술지원 등을 토대로 배출‧방지시설 적정 운영‧관리 및 오염물질 저감, 환경 관련법 준수 등을 통해 미리 환경오염사고를 예방하고 탄소중립 활동에 참여한다고 했다. 

'녹색기업-중소사업장 환경 길잡이' 제도는 ‘17년도에 처음 도입하여 ‘17~19년 8개, ’18~20년 2개, ‘19~21년 8개 등 총 18개 중소사업장을 대상으로 지속적인 기술지원을 실시해왔으며, 사업장 시설관리 및 환경개선, 환경경영시스템 인증 유도 등 실질적인 도움을 주고 있는 것으로 확인되고 있다고 말했다.

특히, 최근 중소사업장을 대상으로 실시한 만족도 조사에서도 기술지원의 전문성·정확성·적절성·정보교류활성도 등 여러 평가분야에서 '매우 그렇다(100%)'로 조사되는 등 환경 길잡이 제도에 대해 전반적으로 만족하고 있고, 기존 녹색기업과 지속적인 환경 길잡이 활동을 희망한다는 평가를 받기도 하였다고 말했다.

원주지방환경청 최명식 환경감시과장은 “환경 길잡이 제도 참여를 통해 환경관리에 어려움을 겪는 중소사업장이 자율적 환경관리 능력을 제고할 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다.” 라고 말했다.
