[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주지방환경청은 5월 19일 오후 2시, 관내 녹색기업 13개사의 녹색경영 우수사례 공유 및 확산을 위한 ‘녹색기업 대표자 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

녹색기업기업이란, 환경부장관이 지정한 오염물질의 현저한 감소, 자원과 에너지의 절감, 제품의 환경성 개선, 녹색경영체제의 구축 등을 통하여 환경개선에 크게 이바지하는 기업 및 사업장이다.

이번 간담회는 녹색기업 대표자가 참석하여 그간 추진해온 사업 내용과 향후계획, 이에스지(ESG)활동 사례 등을 공유하고 녹색경영 확산, 환경경영 강화 방안 등을 논의했다.

아울러, 탄소중립 사회의 전환 선두주자로서 자발적인 과제 실천과 녹색성장을 위해 원주지방환경청과 '녹색기업 탄소중립 실천' 협약을 체결했다.

주요 내용은 공용차량을 전기·수소자동차로 교체, 녹색제품 구매제도 운영, 고효율 전자기기 사용 등 10가지 탄소중립 실천과제의 적극적 이행·협력을 담고 있다고 전했다.

이창흠 청장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 녹색기업이 ESG를 실천하고 탄소중립을 선도하는 기회가 될 것을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
