[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 안병용 시장과 의정부시공무원노동조합 김형태 위원장은 근로자의 날을 앞둔 4월 30일 상호신뢰를 바탕으로 노사 화합을 다짐하는 자리를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

의정부시는 장기간 지속되고 있는 코로나19 대응에 따른 피로 해소를 위하여 전 직원에게 특별휴가 1일을 부여하는 등 직원의 사기진작을 위한 노력을 하고 있다고 했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “장기간 계속되는 코로나19에 대한 직원의 희생과 의정부 46만 시민을 위한 노고에 항상 감사하며 근로자의 날을 축하한다.”라고 밝혔다.

김형태 의정부시공무원노동조합 위원장은 “근로자의 날 및 가정의 달 특별휴가 부여에 일천일백 조합원을 대표해 감사의 뜻을 전하며, 코로나19 극복까지 공무원으로서 헌신하고 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.

한편, 근로자의 날에 공무원의 휴일을 보장하고 근로자의 날을 노동자의 날로 명칭을 변경하는 방안이 국회 및 공무원 노동계에서 활발하게 논의되고 있다고 했다.
