[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 어린이도서관은 어린이들의 창의력 증진 및 과학문화 확산을 위해 상우고등학교 과학동아리 화생방 학생들이 제작한 유튜브 채널과 실시간 ZOOM 수업을 활용하여 온라인 생활과학교실을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

 
올해는 작년보다 수강대상 연령을 확대하여 초등 2~6학년 학생 50명을 모집하며, 5월 22일부터 6월 12일까지 매주 금요일에서 일요일에 총 10차시로 진행된다고 했다.

 
생활과학교실은 상우고 과학교사와 과학동아리 화생방 학생들의 재능기부 활동으로 운영되며, 가정에서 부모님과 함께 혹은 혼자서 유튜브 영상을 보고 직접 실험해 보면서 과학이론을 재미있게 배울 수 있고, 또한, 두 번의 실시간 ZOOM 수업을 통해 혼자 실험하면서 어려웠던 부분이나 궁금한 점을 질문하고 피드백 받는 시간을 가질 예정이라고 했다.
