행사는 경기소리꾼 김지민의 식전공연을 시작으로, 성과보고 영상시청, 유공자 표창, 평가대회 시상, 사업 수익금 성금기탁, 대회사 및 축사, 결의문 낭독 및 새마을노래 제창 순으로 진행되었다.

이번 해 유공자 표창은 국무총리 표창에 최금옥 방림면문고회장, 행안부장관 표창에 이기영 대관령협의회장, 임은식 진부면협의회장을 비롯하여 총 23명에 대하여 시상하였으며, 평가대회 시상은 최우수상에 새마을지도자미탄면협의회(회장 이현승)와 용평면새마을부녀회(회장 정해옥)가 각각 수상하였다.

한편 평창군새마을회는 2022년 강원환경대상 우수상(생활실천부문)을 차지하고 2022 자원순환사회 조성 사업 평가 등 강원도새마을회에서 주관하는 각종 평가대회에서 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
