[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시가족센터(센터장 정신애)는 지난 2일 국제로타리 3730지구 5지역 황지로타리클럽이 국제로타리 3730지구 전·현직 총재를 비롯해 서재명 전 43대 황지로타리클럽 회장 및 회원, 정신애 태백시가족센터장, 결혼이주여성인 취업교육생 3명, 관계자 등 20여명이 참석한 가운데 결혼이주여성의 취업교육을 지원하기 위해 제빵 기계 등 물품을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

황지로타리클럽은 지역 내 결혼이주여성의 사회참여 기회를 확대하고 자립역량을 강화하기 위해 글로벌 보조금을 지원받아 제빵 기계 등 물품을 전달했다.

황지로타리클럽은 봉사의 참뜻을 실천하는데 앞장서며 지역사회에 대한 깊은 관심과 사랑으로 많은 봉사 활동과 후원을 하고 있으며 매년 꾸준한 활동을 펼치고 있다.

정신애 센터장은 “결혼이주여성 자립과 지역 발전을 위해 항상 노력해주신 로타리클럽 관계자분들에게 진심으로 감사하다”며 “제빵 기술 및 기능적 습득을 통해 빵을 이용한 디저트를 만들어 지역사회와 효과적으로 소통할 수 있도록 네트워크 강화 및 기반을 형성하여 이주여성들의 자신감을 회복하고 장기적 경제활동이 되도록 더욱 최선을 다하겠다“고 말했다.
