[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 오는 11월부터 시민들의 편의성을 증대하고 지역경제 활성화를 위해 탄탄페이의 QR결제 서비스를 도입 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

현재까지 탄탄페이는 일정 금액을 자신의 계정에 충전한 뒤 연결된 카드로만 결제할 수 있었으나, 이번에 도입하는 QR결제를 이용하면 카드를 소지하지 않아도 결제가 가능해 편리성 증진에 도움이 될 예정이다.

탄탄페이 QR결제 가맹점 신청은 내달 1일부터 운영대행사(코나아이)에 온라인 전자계약을 통해 신청 가능하며, 오프라인 신청은 구비서류를 지참해 태백시청 일자리경제과 지역경제팀으로 방문하면 된다.

가맹점 신청이 진행되면 시에서 승인 심사를 거친 후 승인완료 문자와 함께 소비자 결제를 위해 필요한 가맹점 QR키트가 사업장으로 배송된다.

시 관계자는 “탄탄페이 QR결제 도입을 통해 탄탄페이 활용성과 사용자 편의가 증대되어 지역경제 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.”고 말했다.

한편, 지역소비 촉진 및 지역경제 활성화를 위해 지난 2020년에 도입된 탄탄페이는 올해 10월 현재 누적사용량 1,400억 원이 넘었으며, 사용자에게 10%의 캐시백 적립을 통해 가계 부담 완화 및 관내 소상공인의 매출증대를 도모하여 지역경제 활성화에 이바지하고 있다.
