[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 귀래면 귀래리 산176-1번지 일원 ㈜엘케이스톤 석재산업(채석단지 지정)과 관련 환경영향평가서(초안)에 대해  11일부터 오는 9월 26일까지 지역주민을 대상으로 공람을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

시청 신속허가과와 귀래면 행정복지센터를 방문하면 환경영향평가서(초안)를 누구든지 열람할 수 있으며 환경영향평가 정보지원시스템에도 게시했다.

지난 5월 환경영향평가항목 등의 결정내용 공개에 따른 주민 의견 수렴을 거쳐 환경영향평가서(초안)를 작성했으며, 이번 주민의견 수렴을 통해 환경영향평가(본안)를 작성하게 된다.

환경영향평가법에 따라 ㈜엘케이스톤은 오는 9월 1일 귀래골 도농교류센터(귀래면 귀문로 436)에서 환경영향평가서(초안)에 대한 설명회를 개최할 예정이다.

환경영향평가서(초안)에 의견이 있는 주민은 공람기간 중 또는 기간 종료 후 7일 이내에 원주시 신속허가과 또는 귀래면 행정복지센터를 통해 주민의견서를 제출하면 된다.

원주시 관계자는 “채석단지 지정은 지역주민의 삶에 밀접한 영향이 발생하는 사업이므로 환경영향 저감방안, 주민 안전을 위한 교통처리 대책, 지역의 환경보전방안 등에 대해 주민들의 적극적인 의견이 제출되어 대응 방안이 마련될 수 있도록 많은 관심과 의견을 바란다.”라고 말했다.
