[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시는 관내 건설공사, 제조업 등 소규모 산업현장에서 산업재해 예방 활동을 하는 ‘노동안전지킴이’ 활동을 시작했다고 밝혔다.

노동안전지킴이 활동은 2021년부터 추진된 사업으로 작년 한 해 동안 건설현장 785건, 제조업체 25개소를 점검하는 등 산업재해 예방활동을 실시했다고 했다.

포천시 노동안전지킴이는 80억 원 미만 소규모 민간 건설현장과 근로자 50명 미만의 제조업 사업장 등을 찾아가 안전 수칙 준수 여부를 점검한다. 미흡한 부분은 산업안전 컨설팅을 통해 지도·관리한다고 전했다.

2인 1조로 구성된 현장점검반은 2개 반을 운영하며 개인보호구 착용 여부, 산업안전보건 기준 위반사항, 안전재해 예방조치 위반사항, 인력배치 적정 여부 등을 점검하고 문제점을 발견하면 개선·보완 방향을 제시한다고 했다. 

포천시는 추락·붕괴·끼임 등 긴급 위험 요소가 있는 현장과 시정 요구에도 개선되지 않는 현장에 대해서는 한국산업안전보건공단에 불시 순회 점검을 요청하는 등 체계적인 관리를 실시할 계획이라고 전했다.

포천시 관계자는 “산업재해 예방이 날로 중요해지고 있다. 무엇보다 노동자 산업안전이 중요한 상황이다.”면서 “노동안전지킴이 활동을 통해 노동자들이 안전하게 일할 수 있는 안전문화가 정착될 수 있도록 노력하고, 산업재해 예방에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
