의정부시는 지난 2019년 7월부터 2021년까지 ‘의정부를 더 푸르고, 더 아름답게’ 만들기 위해 시작한 'The Green & Beauty City 프로젝트' 3개년 사업을 성공적으로 마친 후, 지속적 유지·관리를 통한 녹색도시 완성을 위해 포스트 G&B 사업을 올해부터 추진하고 있으며, 각 동에서 주요 도로변에 배치해 초화류를 식재했던 화분들의 관리를 일원화하기 위해 녹지산림과 G&B팀은 자체 예산을 수립하고 화분을 유형별로 분리해 새롭게 배치했고, 시 전역에 꽃과 나무를 식재해 시민들이 피부로 느끼는 G&B사업이 될 수 있도록 지속 관리할 방침이라고 전했다.
