[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 22일 동해시의회는 제3차 본회의를 끝으로 5일간의 제316회 동해시의회 임시회 일정을 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 임시회에서는 시정질문을 통해 지역 현안을 공유하여 합리적이고 발전적인 대안을 제시하고 의원발의 조례안 1건을 포함한 5건의 안건을 의결했다고 했다.

김기하 의장은 “장마철 이전에 주택지, 도로변 등 생활권과 연접한 지역을 대상으로 긴급 벌채와 산사태 예방을 위한 응급복구 사업을 실시하여 산불 이후, 토사 유출과 산사태와 같은 2차 피해 발생에 대비하고, 임시 주거용 조립주택과 LH임대주택의 신속한 공급에 만전을 기하여 이재민의 불편을 최소화하는데 행정력을 최우선적으로 투입해달라”고 당부했다.

또한 이날 본회의에서 「옥계면의 동해시 편입 제안 성명서」를 만장일치로 채택하였으며, 대표 발의한 이정학 의원은 “옥계면이 강릉시의 행정사각지대로 남아서 산불 등 재난재해 발생에 따른 대처가 미흡하다면, 옥계면 주민들의 의견을 폭넓게 수렴하여, 생활권이 속한 동해시로의 편입을 전향적으로 검토해야한다”고 촉구했다.
