[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 10일 캠코(한국자산관리공사)는 대내외 이해관계자와 ESG경영의 활동 및 성과를 공유하고, 지속가능한 공공플랫폼으로의 전환 의지를 확고히 하고자 ‘2021년도 ESG경영이행보고서’를 발간했다고 밝혔다.

캠코는 ESG경영이행보고서를 통해 지난 2021년의 한 해 동안 추진한 다양한 ESG경영 활동을 수록했다. 보고서는  ESG 핵심성과와 코로나 위기대응 노력을 압축적으로 보여주는 ‘캠코 ESG 스페셜 테마’를 시작으로 ‘Environment(환경)’ㆍ‘Social(사회)’ㆍ‘Governance(지배구조)’ㆍ‘Business(주요사업)’ 네 개 부문으로 구성됐다고 전했다.

먼저 ‘환경’ 부문에서는 제로에너지빌딩 선도사업 및 노후건축물의 그린리모델링 등 저탄소·친환경 사업으로 전환하기 위한 노력이 소개되었고 ‘사회’ 부문에서는 부산 청년창업허브 조성, 유휴 국유지를 활용한 치유농장 조성·운영 등 캠코만의 차별화된 비즈니스 기반 사례들이 소개됐다고 했다.

또한 ‘지배구조’ 부문은 직무관련 부동산 취득 제한방안 운영 등 이해충돌방지를 위한 인프라 구축 등의 내용을 담았으며, ‘주요사업’ 부문은 코로나19 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 가계‧기업‧공공부문의 피해‧취약계층에 대한 지원 실적*을 담았다고 했다.

이번 보고서는 국제 표준 가이드라인인 GRI(Global Reporting Initiative) 작성기준에 따라 구성됐으며, 사회적 책임관련 글로벌 지표인 UNGC(UN Global Compact) 10대 원칙, ISO26000 등을 적용하고, 국제검증표준인 AA1000AS V3 기준에 따라 제3자 검증을 실시하여 객관성과 신뢰도를 높였다고 했다.

권남주 캠코 사장은 “캠코는 ‘ESG경영’을 핵심가치로 삼고, ESG에 기반한 혁신으로 미래의 성장 동력을 확보해갈 것”이라고 밝히며, “전사적인 ESG 경영전환을 바탕으로 가시적인 성과창출을 이루어, ESG 선도 공공기관으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 강조했다.  

한편, 캠코의 2021년도 ESG경영이행보고서는 사내외 주요 이해관계자를 대상으로 배포되며, 캠코 홈페이지내 미디어룸-발간자료-ESG경영이행보고서 게시판에서 확인할 수 있다고 전했다.
